Homemade BBQ Sauce Recipe

Instructions

  1. Combine 2 cups ketchup, 1/2 cup apple cider vinegar, 1/3 cup lightly packed brown sugar, 3 tablespoons molasses, 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce, 1 1/2 teaspoon liquid smoke, 1 teaspoon smoked paprika, 1/2 teaspoon onion powder, 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder, and 1/4 teaspoon ground black pepper in a medium saucepan.

  2. Place the saucepan over medium heat; bring to a simmer. Reduce heat to low and continue to simmer for 15 to 20 minutes, until the sauce reduces and thickens.

  3. Use the sauce immediately, or cool it completely before pouring into a container for refrigeration.
