Hollow Chocolate Easter Egg
Hollow chocolate Easter eggs can be crafted and filled with various treats like candies, toys, or personalized notes.

Instructions

Clean and thoroughly dry the chocolate mold.

If decorating, melt white or colored candy coating, pipe designs inside the mold, and refrigerate briefly to set.

Melt the chocolate candy coating, then let it cool until warm but still fluid.

Spoon several tablespoons of melted coating into each cavity, swirl to cover, and use a brush to apply a thick layer up the sides, adding more if necessary.

Scrape excess chocolate from the top of the mold for smooth edges.

Allow the coating to set at room temperature, then refrigerate briefly until very firm.

Invert the mold and gently flex to release the egg halves.

Fill one egg half with your chosen treats.

Smear melted chocolate onto the lip of the filled half, press the other half on top, and optionally decorate the seam.
