Instructions

  1. Boil 1 cup of water, then steep 2 tablespoons of hibiscus tea for 10 minutes.

  2. Remove the tea, then stir in 1 cup of superfine sugar until fully dissolved.

  3. Refrigerate the hibiscus syrup until chilled.

  4. Combine vodka and the chilled hibiscus syrup in a mixing glass.

  5. Add ice and shake vigorously for 7 to 8 seconds.

  6. Strain into a chilled martini glass and garnish with a flower or edible orchid.
