Preheat the oven to 350 F.

Toast walnuts in a dry pan over medium heat until fragrant, then set aside to cool.

Combine mashed bananas, banana yogurt, eggs, oil, vanilla, and brown sugar in a large bowl.

In a separate bowl, whisk together whole wheat flour, all-purpose flour, ground flaxseeds, baking soda, cinnamon, and salt.

Add the dry ingredients to the wet mixture and mix until just combined, avoiding overmixing.

Fold the cooled walnuts into the batter.

Pour into a greased 9x5-inch loaf pan and sprinkle the top with whole flaxseeds.
