Instructions

Preheat the oven to 175°F (79°C).

Cut the flank steak into strips approximately 1 1/3 inches wide.

Combine soy sauce, Hawaiian salt, sugar, minced garlic, crushed ginger, and optional crushed red chile pepper to form the marinade.

Place the beef strips in the marinade, cover, and refrigerate overnight.

Arrange the marinated meat on a cooling rack placed over a cookie sheet.
