Haupia Recipe

Instructions

Combine water and cornstarch in a bowl until smooth.

In a saucepan, whisk together coconut milk, milk, and sugar over medium-high heat until boiling (about 12 minutes).

Reduce heat to medium-low to maintain a simmer, then slowly whisk in the cornstarch mixture. Continue whisking for about 3 minutes until thickened.

Pour the mixture into an 8x8-inch baking dish lightly greased with cooking spray or coconut oil.

Let it cool for 20 minutes, then refrigerate for at least 2 hours to set.

Remove, slice, and serve chilled, optionally garnished with edible flowers.
