Hash Brown Casserole With Sour Cream

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350 F and grease a 2 to 2 1/2-quart baking dish.

  2. In a large bowl, mix thawed potatoes, 8 tablespoons melted butter, salt, pepper, sour cream, cream of celery and chicken soups, onion, and 1 1/2 cups shredded cheese.

  3. Spread this mixture evenly into the greased dish.

  4. Combine breadcrumbs with the remaining 2 tablespoons melted butter. Sprinkle the remaining cheese over the casserole, then top with the buttered breadcrumbs.

  5. Bake for 25 to 35 minutes until hot and lightly browned.
