Hamburger Casserole With Mashed Potatoes

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350F.

  2. Soak breadcrumbs in milk.

  3. Combine ground beef, soaked breadcrumbs, salt, pepper, onion, and beaten egg in a large bowl.

  4. Press the meat mixture into a 9-inch pie plate and bake for 30 minutes.

  5. Remove from oven and drain excess fat.

  6. Top meat with mashed potatoes, then sprinkle with cheese and optional paprika.

  7. Return to oven for 15 minutes, until cheese is melted and potatoes are heated through.
