Instructions

  1. Place eggs in a medium saucepan, cover with 1-2 inches of water, bring to a full boil, then remove from heat, cover, and let stand for 15 minutes.

  2. Transfer eggs to an ice water bath to cool completely.

  3. Peel cooled eggs under running water, slice lengthwise, and separate yolks into a small bowl, arranging whites on a plate.

  4. Mash yolks, then mix in mayonnaise, mustard, salt, and pepper until well blended.

  5. Spoon yolk mixture into egg white halves and refrigerate until decorating.

  6. Slice olives in half, setting aside 12 halves for spider bodies; slice remaining halves into thin 'legs'.

  7. For each stuffed egg, arrange 8 olive 'legs' and center with an olive half 'body'.

  8. Refrigerate decorated eggs on a tray or plate until serving.
