Gunpowder Gimlet Cocktail

A gunpowder gimlet cocktail features tea-infused gin and a homemade salted pistachio honey syrup.

Instructions

  1. Combine tea leaves and gin in an infusion jar.

  2. Steep for 2 hours, then strain and bottle the infused gin.

  3. Combine salted pistachios, honey, and an equal part of water in a saucepan.

  4. Bring to a boil, stirring, then remove from heat.

  5. Cover, cool, and steep for 1 to 2 hours.

  6. Strain out pistachios and bottle the syrup; refrigerate.

  7. Pour tea-infused gin, pistachio syrup, lemon juice, and bitters into an ice-filled cocktail shaker.

  8. Shake well.

  9. Strain into a chilled old-fashioned glass over crushed ice.
