Gulf Shrimp With Lemon and Garlic Recipe

Instructions

  1. Marinate shrimp for 1 hour in a nonreactive dish with olive oil, lemon juice, salt, and pepper.

  2. Melt butter in a large skillet, then add sliced garlic and the marinated shrimp, reserving the marinade.

  3. Stir-fry the shrimp over medium heat until pink; remove shrimp to a warm platter and discard the cooked garlic.

  4. In the same skillet, sauté slivered almonds in butter until lightly browned.

  5. Add the reserved marinade, hot pepper sauce, and vermouth to the skillet, then bring the mixture to a boil while stirring.

  6. Pour the sauce over the shrimp and sprinkle with chopped green onions before serving.
