Guinness Marinade

Instructions

  1. Finely chop garlic, shallot, and onion.

  2. Combine chopped ingredients with fresh parsley, tarragon, Worcestershire sauce, Dijon mustard, stout beer, soy sauce, and seasonings in a small bowl; mix well.

  3. Let the mixture stand at room temperature for 30 minutes.

  4. Marinate beef, lamb, and pork for 4 to 24 hours; chicken and poultry for 2 to 8 hours; or vegetables and meat substitutes for 1 hour.

  5. After marinating, transfer unused marinade to a small saucepan.

  6. Reduce the marinade for 1-2 minutes until slightly thickened, adding more stout beer if desired.

  7. Serve the reduced marinade as a sauce, or cool and store in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 5 days.
