Guava Glazed Chicken
Chicken tenderloins are swiftly prepared and glazed with a sweet guava jelly, ginger, and soy sauce mixture.

Instructions

Season flour with salt and pepper in a shallow bowl; whisk egg white in a separate bowl.

Dredge chicken pieces first in flour, then egg white, and finally in flour again.

Heat 4 tablespoons oil in a wok or large skillet over medium-high heat; cook chicken until golden brown and cooked through, then set aside.

In a small bowl, mix 2 tablespoons water with cornstarch until smooth; set aside.

Combine jelly, soy sauce, brown sugar, vinegar, and water in a saucepan; bring to a boil, then simmer for 1 to 2 minutes while stirring.

Stir in the cornstarch mixture and continue to simmer, stirring, until the sauce thickens.

In the same wok, heat remaining oil (add more if needed) and sauté garlic until soft and fragrant.

Add the guava sauce and the cooked chicken pieces to the skillet.

Heat chicken through, stirring to thoroughly coat with the glaze.
