Instructions

Preheat a charcoal or gas grill to medium heat (350-375 F).

Halve tomatoes crosswise, pat dry, and brush their cut sides with olive oil.

Place tomatoes oiled-side down on the grill; cook for about 5 minutes until grill marks appear.

Brush the ungrilled sides with oil, then flip and grill for another 5 minutes until grill marks appear.

Transfer grilled tomatoes to a platter, season with salt, and serve hot or at room temperature.
