Instructions

  1. Score chicken pieces with shallow diagonal slashes.

  2. In a bowl, mix yogurt, tandoori masala, oil, garlic, and salt to create a smooth paste.

  3. Thoroughly coat the chicken with the paste, ensuring it penetrates the slashes, then cover and marinate overnight in the refrigerator.

  4. Preheat a grill to medium (350 F-375 F) and clean/oil the grates. Sear chicken for 3 minutes per side.

  5. Reduce grill heat to low (200 F-275 F), cover, and continue cooking until chicken reaches 165 F, about 2 more minutes.

  6. Garnish the cooked chicken with chaat masala, onion rings, and lime wedges, then serve hot.
