Grilled Lamb Burgers With Mint
Minty lamb burgers, best served on pita or buns, pair wonderfully with a homemade yogurt sauce or red pepper aioli.

Instructions

Preheat grill to medium-high heat.

In a large bowl, combine ground lamb, chopped onion, bread crumbs, chopped mint, egg, garlic, cumin, black pepper, and Aleppo pepper, omitting salt.

Mix well, then form into 4 patties and create a thumb indentation in the center of each.

Oil grill grates thoroughly.

Place patties on the grill and cook for 4-5 minutes per side, or until desired doneness.

Remove cooked burgers from the grill and tent with foil.

Brush buns with oil, then toast on the grill for 1-2 minutes.

If using pita, wrap in foil and warm on the grill for 3-4 minutes per side.

Assemble burgers with desired toppings.
