Instructions

  1. Preheat the grill for low heat cooking. Trim excess fat from brisket and season thoroughly with garlic powder, onion powder, black pepper, cayenne, and paprika.

  2. Place the seasoned brisket on a rotisserie on the preheated grill, propping the lid slightly, and begin cooking.

  3. Concurrently, prepare the sauce: Melt butter in a saucepan, then sauté onion and garlic for 5 minutes.

  4. Stir in water, cider vinegar, brown sugar, Worcestershire sauce, chili powder, salt, and pepper; simmer for 10 to 15 minutes before adding beer.

  5. Baste the brisket with the prepared sauce every 30 minutes, continuing to cook for a total of 4 to 5 hours.

  6. Remove brisket from the grill, slice thinly, and serve.
