Instructions

  1. Preheat a charcoal or gas grill to medium-low (300 F to 325 F).

  2. Peel and slice beets into 1/4-inch crosswise pieces, then coat them evenly with oil.

  3. Place the beets on the grill, sprinkle with salt, and cook for 8-10 minutes, closing the cover if using a gas grill.

  4. Flip the beets and continue grilling for another 8-10 minutes until they are tender and grill-marked.

  5. Serve hot, warm, or at room temperature, with an optional drizzle of additional olive oil and salt.
