Grill-Baked Apples in Foil With Cinnamon and Sugar Recipe

A simple and healthy vegan side dish or dessert, these grill-baked apples are prepared with cinnamon, sugar, and margarine on a barbecue.

Instructions

  1. Preheat your barbecue.

  2. Core the apples, leaving the bottom intact.

  3. Mix cinnamon and sugar in a bowl.

  4. Fill each apple with one tablespoon of the cinnamon-sugar mixture and top with 1/2 teaspoon of vegan margarine.

  5. Wrap each apple in aluminum foil.

  6. Grill for about 20 minutes, turning several times, checking for tenderness with a fork between 15 and 30 minutes.

  7. Open foil packets carefully due to steam, then optionally sprinkle with chopped nuts before serving.
