Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350 F.

  2. Heat olive oil in a pan, then sauté onions until soft and translucent.

  3. Brown ground beef, breaking it apart as it cooks.

  4. Stir in oregano, dill, pepper, salt, and tomato paste.

  5. Add wine and chicken broth, then reduce liquids until evaporated.

  6. Remove from heat, transfer meat mixture to a bowl, and mix in feta and egg; set aside.

  7. Brush a square baking pan with melted butter.

  8. Unroll and cut phyllo sheets to fit the baking dish.

  9. Layer 8 phyllo sheets in the pan, brushing each with melted butter.

  10. Spread the meat mixture evenly over the phyllo.

  11. Layer 8 more phyllo sheets on top, brushing each with butter.

  12. Score the top, then bake for 20-30 minutes until golden brown.

  13. Remove, cut, and serve hot.
