Gravy and Vegetables Slow Cooker Round Steak

Instructions

  1. Slice round steak into serving portions or strips, then season thoroughly with salt and pepper.

  2. Toss the seasoned steak in flour until fully coated.

  3. Sear the floured steak in oil over medium-high heat for 5 to 6 minutes, browning all sides, then set aside.

  4. Combine the dry onion soup mix with cream of mushroom soup and water in a bowl.

  5. Layer half of the seared steak, carrots, and onions in a slow cooker, then pour half of the soup mixture over them.

  6. Add the remaining steak, carrots, and onions, covering with the rest of the soup mixture.

  7. Cook on high for 3 1/2 to 4 1/2 hours, or on low for 8 to 9 hours, until the beef is tender.
