Instructions

Preheat oven to 425 F and prepare muffin pans by greasing, flouring, or lining them.

Combine flour, baking powder, salt, sugar, and Grape-Nuts cereal in a bowl.

In a separate bowl, mix the egg, milk, and melted shortening.

Add the wet ingredients to the dry mixture and stir until just moistened.
