Gluten-Free Carob Brownies
Gluten-free carob brownies, made with chopped nuts and roasted carob powder, offer a naturally sweet alternative to traditional chocolate brownies.

Preheat the oven to 350 F (176 C) for a metal pan or 325 F (163 C) for a glass baking dish, then grease an 8x8-inch baking pan.

Whisk flour, carob powder, and salt in a bowl; set aside.

In a large mixing bowl, cream butter and sugar until fluffy, then beat in vanilla extract and eggs until combined.

Gradually add the flour-carob mixture and nuts to the wet ingredients, beating just until combined.

Scrape the brownie mixture into the prepared pan.

Bake for about 25 minutes in a metal pan or 35 minutes in a glass pan, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.

Cool for at least 15 minutes before cutting, and optionally sprinkle with gluten-free confectioners' sugar.
