Gluten-Free Almond Pie or Tart Crust

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350 F with a rack in the middle.

  2. In a mixing bowl, combine almond flour, sea salt, baking soda, and cinnamon, breaking any lumps.

  3. In a small bowl, mix vanilla, oil, maple syrup, and water.

  4. Add the liquid mixture to the dry ingredients and stir with a rubber spatula until thoroughly combined.

  5. Press the dough evenly into a 9-inch pie plate or tart pan, ensuring uniform thickness across the bottom and up the sides.

  6. Place the pan on a sheet and bake for 10 minutes if parbaking, or 20 to 25 minutes for a fully baked, golden brown crust.

  7. Remove from oven and cool; cool completely if using a fully baked crust.
