Glazed Sweet Potatoes With Brown Sugar

Instructions

  1. Peel and slice sweet potatoes into 1/2 to 1-inch thick pieces.

  2. Pre-cook the sweet potatoes by either boiling them in water for about 12 minutes until tender, or roasting them at 375 F for 25 minutes.

  3. In a heavy skillet, combine brown sugar, water, butter, and salt, then simmer over low heat for 5 minutes.

  4. Add the pre-cooked sweet potatoes to the simmering brown sugar mixture and continue to simmer for 10 minutes, turning frequently, until well glazed.
