German Almond Crescent Cookies

Instructions

Preheat the oven to 350°F.

In a medium bowl, cream confectioners' sugar and butter until fluffy.

Mix in vanilla, almond extract, cinnamon (if using), and salt.

Fold in almond meal and flour using a spatula.

Knead the stiff dough by hand.

On a floured surface, roll out the dough to 1/2-inch thick.

Use a round cutter to make two crescent shapes from each cut, re-rolling scraps as needed.

Line a baking sheet with parchment paper and arrange crescents.
