Garlic Sautéed Okra

Instructions

  1. Trim okra stems, then rinse and pat dry completely.

  2. Peel and thinly slice the garlic.

  3. Heat a large frying pan over medium-high heat; add oil and heat until shimmering. Add garlic and cook for 1 minute until golden.

  4. Add okra, stir to coat with oil and garlic. Cover the pan and cook for 8 minutes, shaking frequently, until the okra is tender and browned.

  5. Transfer okra to a platter, add optional tomatoes, and season with salt.
