Instructions

  1. Combine ginger, garlic, rice vinegar, brown sugar, chili sauce, soy sauce, water, and basil in a small bowl.

  2. Season salmon on both sides with salt.

  3. Heat vegetable oil in a non-stick skillet over medium-high heat, then cook salmon for 4 minutes per side.

  4. During the last minute of cooking, pour the prepared sauce into the pan; spoon it over the salmon as it thickens.
