Garlic Breadsticks

Instructions

Preheat the oven to 425 F.

Combine lukewarm water, oil, yeast, and sugar in a stand mixer bowl.

Using a dough hook, gradually add flour and mix until the dough is no longer sticky, then knead for 3 to 5 minutes.

Drizzle olive oil over the dough and inside the bowl, cover, and let rise for 1 hour.

Grease a baking sheet or line with parchment paper; lightly oil parchment and a rolling pin.

Roll the dough into an 8 by 11-inch rectangle, 3/4 to 1-inch thick, on the oiled parchment.

Cut the dough into about 10 (1-inch wide) strips.

Place strips on the prepared baking sheet and brush with olive oil.

Bake for 20 minutes, or until golden brown.

While breadsticks are warm, whisk together melted butter, garlic, parsley, salt, basil, and garlic powder, then brush over each breadstick.
