Frozen Chocolate-Covered Bananas Recipe

Instructions

  1. Start boiling water for a double boiler.

  2. Peel and halve bananas, inserting a popsicle stick into each, then arrange on a parchment-lined baking sheet and freeze for 45 minutes.

  3. While bananas freeze, prepare and set aside desired toppings.

  4. In the double boiler, melt chocolate chips, coconut oil, and salt, stirring until smooth, then turn off heat, keeping chocolate warm.

  5. Dip each frozen banana into the melted chocolate, coating completely, then immediately roll in toppings.

  6. Return coated bananas to the baking sheet and freeze for an additional 30 minutes.

  7. Allow bananas to sit at room temperature for 15-20 minutes before serving.
