Fresh Watermelon Lemonade Recipe

Instructions

  1. Cut approximately 5 pounds of watermelon into cubes, aiming for 8 cups.

  2. Blend all watermelon cubes in batches until smooth.

  3. Strain the blended watermelon through a fine-mesh sieve, pressing to extract all juice, yielding about 8 cups.

  4. Juice 5-6 large lemons to get 1 1/2 cups of strained lemon juice.

  5. Combine 4 cups each of cold water and watermelon juice with 1 cup each of lemon juice and sugar in a pitcher.

  6. Stir until sugar dissolves, then taste and adjust with more lemon juice, sugar, or water if desired.

  7. Serve over ice with garnishes or store refrigerated for up to 2 days.
