Fresh Peach Crumble

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 375 F and butter a 1 1/2-quart baking dish.

  2. Prepare an ice bath and bring a large pot of water to a boil. Boil peaches for 10-20 seconds until skin splits, then transfer them to the ice bath.

  3. Peel, pit, and thinly slice the peaches.

  4. Combine sliced peaches and brown sugar; pour this mixture into the prepared baking dish.

  5. In a separate bowl, thoroughly mix flour, granulated sugar, salt, and cinnamon.

  6. Whisk an egg and add it to the dry ingredients, stirring until a crumbly mixture forms.

  7. Evenly sprinkle the crumb mixture over the peach filling.

  8. Drizzle melted butter over the crumb topping.

  9. Bake for 40-45 minutes, or until the topping is lightly browned and the filling is bubbling.

  10. Serve warm.
