Fresh Herb Butter

Instructions

  1. Soften 1/2 cup butter at room temperature.

  2. Mince 1 to 3 teaspoons fresh herbs and grate 1 teaspoon lemon zest, if desired.

  3. In a bowl, combine the softened butter with the herbs and zest, mashing until thoroughly mixed.

  4. Add kosher salt to taste if using unsalted butter.

  5. Scoop the herb butter onto waxed or parchment paper and shape into a log.

  6. Wrap tightly and refrigerate; slice portions as needed.
