Instructions

  1. On medium heat, combine 1 cup sugar and 3/4 cup water in a saucepan, stirring until dissolved.

  2. Add 1 cup sliced ginger and bring the mixture to a light boil.

  3. Cover, reduce heat, and simmer for 15 minutes.

  4. Remove from heat, then cool and steep in the covered pan for about 1 hour or until preferred taste.

  5. Strain the ginger out and bottle the syrup securely.
