French Quarter Smash
A French Quarter smash is a delightful moonshine cocktail blending corn whiskey, brandy, blueberries, lemon, mint, and almond syrup.

Instructions

To make the almond syrup, combine sugar and water, bring to a boil, and stir until sugar dissolves.

Reduce heat, stir in almond extract, then remove from heat and cool for 20 minutes.

In a cocktail shaker, muddle lemon wedges with the prepared almond syrup until juices are extracted.

Add moonshine, brandy, mint leaves, blueberry preserves, and ice to the shaker.

Shake vigorously.

Double strain into an old-fashioned glass containing one large ice cube.

Garnish with a fresh mint sprig.
