French Macaroni and Cheese Recipe
A rich French-style macaroni and cheese combines macaroni with crème fraîche and a blend of Gruyère, Cantal, or cheddar cheese.

Preheat the oven to 350 F.

Cook macaroni according to package directions, then drain it.

Rub a 3-quart baking dish with garlic, then brush it with melted butter.

Stir the drained macaroni, crème fraîche, 1 1/2 cups of shredded cheeses, salt, and pepper together in the prepared dish.

Sprinkle breadcrumbs and the remaining cheeses over the top.

Bake uncovered for 20 to 25 minutes, until hot, bubbly, and light golden brown.
