French Fries on the Grill With Cheese and Bacon

Grilled french fries become a decadent side when topped with melted cheese and crispy bacon.

Instructions

  1. Preheat a grill to medium-high (400 F to 475 F).

  2. Toss frozen french fries with melted butter, then divide and arrange in a single layer on three aluminum foil sheets, forming open-top boats.

  3. Place foil boats on the grill, close the lid, and cook for 5 minutes; flip fries and cook for another 5 minutes. Set aside.

  4. If cooking bacon, place a cast-iron skillet on the grill, cook bacon for 20-24 minutes until crisp, then drain.

  5. Top fries with two cheese slices and bacon bits in each packet, return to the grill, and cook with the lid closed for 5 minutes until cheese melts.

  6. Garnish with chives and serve with desired condiments.
