Fish Fillets With Mushroom Sauce

Preheat the oven to 350 F and grease a 2-quart baking dish.

Melt butter in a medium saucepan over medium heat. Add mushrooms, onion, and garlic; cook for about 10 minutes until tender and liquid evaporates, stirring frequently.

Stir in flour, thyme, salt, and pepper; cook for 2 minutes.

Add milk and sour cream; cook and stir until the sauce thickens and bubbles.

Remove from heat, then stir in lemon juice and zest.

Place fish fillets in the prepared dish and cover with the sauce.

Bake for 15 to 20 minutes, or until fish reaches 145 F and flakes easily.
