Festival Turkey Legs

Instructions

  1. Combine soda, sugar, hot sauce, red pepper flakes, and black pepper in a large pot and bring to a low boil.

  2. Pat turkey legs dry, then add to the boiling mixture and boil for 30 minutes or until reaching an internal temperature of 165 F/74 C.

  3. Preheat a grill to medium heat.

  4. Place onion slices on the heated grill, then arrange the boiled turkey legs on top.

  5. Brush the turkey legs with honey and sprinkle with steak seasoning.

  6. Grill for approximately 15 minutes over medium heat, turning as needed, until the skin is crispy brown and the internal temperature is 165-175 F.

  7. Remove turkey legs from the grill.
