Famous Carnation Fudge

Instructions

In a heavy-duty saucepan, combine butter, evaporated milk, sugar, and salt.

Bring the mixture to a full rolling boil over medium heat, stirring constantly.

Boil, stirring constantly, for 4 to 5 minutes.

Remove the saucepan from heat.

Stir in marshmallows, chocolate chips, vanilla, and optional nuts.

Vigorously stir for 1 minute or until the marshmallows are fully melted.

Pour the fudge into an 8-inch square baking pan lined with foil.
