Instructions

  1. Preheat 2 inches of oil in a frying pan to 350 F.

  2. Soak fava beans and chickpeas overnight, then drain, rinse, and remove their skins.

  3. Process the skinned beans in a food processor, add remaining ingredients, and blend until a thick paste forms, adding water spoonful by spoonful if needed.

  4. Spoon falafel mixture into the hot oil by the tablespoon and fry for about 2 minutes, or until golden brown.
