Elderberry Syrup Recipe
A flavorful spiced elderberry syrup that serves as a versatile topping for desserts or an addition to tea, prepared from fresh, frozen, or dried berries.

Inspect elderberries and remove any debris.

Combine the cleaned berries and water in a pan, bring to a gentle boil, then simmer for 20 minutes.

During simmering, press the berries every 5 minutes with a spoon or masher to extract their juice.

Pour the mixture through a cheesecloth-lined sieve, then firmly press and squeeze the berries to extract all juice; discard the solids.

Transfer the juice to a clean pan, add honey, lemon, ginger, cloves, and cinnamon.

Simmer for approximately 15 minutes until the syrup thickens.

Strain the syrup again and pour into a sterilized jar.
