Egg, Biscuit and Sausage Breakfast Casserole

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 350 F.

  2. Butter a 2 1/2- to 3-quart baking dish.

  3. Split and lightly butter biscuits, then line the baking dish bottom with them, cut-side up.

  4. Cook sausage and onions in a skillet over medium heat, breaking up sausage as it browns.

  5. Stir in chile peppers and seasonings.

  6. Spread the sausage mixture over the biscuits, then top with shredded cheese.

  7. Whisk eggs, milk, salt, and pepper in a bowl, then pour over the biscuits and sausage.

  8. Bake for 25 to 30 minutes, or until a knife inserted into the center comes out clean.
