Instructions

Melt candy coating in a microwave-safe bowl, stirring every 30 seconds until smooth.

Snip straws into thirds, then seal one end of each straw completely with aluminum foil.

Transfer the melted coating to a piping bag with a small snipped hole and fill each prepared straw.

Stand filled straws upright in a cup and refrigerate for a minimum of 20 minutes until thoroughly chilled.

Use a dowel or skewer to push the candy chalk sticks out of the straws.

Dust a work surface with cocoa powder, then roll black fondant to 1/8-inch thickness or less.
