Easy Wine-Marinated Brisket

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 325 F.

  2. In a large zip-top bag, combine wine, soy sauce, grated onion, celery, and garlic. Add brisket, seal, and refrigerate 3-4 hours or overnight, turning periodically.

  3. Transfer brisket fat-side up to a roasting pan or Dutch oven. Surround with sliced onions and pour in marinade. Season with kosher salt and black pepper. Cover tightly.

  4. Bake for 3 hours until tender, adding water halfway through if needed to prevent drying.

  5. Remove from oven and rest 15 minutes. Carve slices against the grain, then serve with pan juices and cooked onions.
