Easy Tuna Potato Bake

A comforting tuna and potato bake is easily prepared using packaged scalloped potatoes and canned tuna.

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven as directed on scalloped potato package. Prepare potatoes with sliced onion according to package directions and arrange in a 2-quart casserole dish.

  2. Bake 20-25 minutes until tender; set aside.

  3. In a saucepan, melt butter, then stir in flour, salt, and pepper.

  4. Gradually stir in milk and cook, stirring constantly, until the sauce thickens.

  5. Fold in drained tuna.

  6. Pour tuna sauce over the potatoes.

  7. Combine mayonnaise, cheese, hot sauce, and mustard in a bowl.

  8. Spread cheese mixture over the tuna layer.

  9. Return casserole to oven and bake, uncovered, for 10-15 minutes until hot and bubbly. Optionally sprinkle with paprika before serving.
