Easy Steak Fajitas

Flavorful steak fajitas are quickly prepared after marinating to ensure tender meat.

Instructions

  1. Combine all marinade ingredients in a freezer bag, add the steak, remove air, seal, and refrigerate for at least one hour or overnight.

  2. Remove steak from the bag, discarding the marinade.

  3. Heat a large cast iron pan over high heat with 1 tablespoon oil.

  4. Sear steak, cut into sections if needed, for 2-3 minutes per side, then transfer to a cutting board to rest.

  5. Add the remaining oil to the same pan, reduce heat to medium, and sauté peppers and onions for about five minutes until softened and lightly caramelized.

  6. Slice the steak into thin strips, return to the pan with the vegetables, garnish with cilantro, and serve immediately on warm flour tortillas with desired accoutrements.
