Easy Soy Sauce Eggs (Shoyu Tamago)

Japanese shoyu tamago are hard-boiled eggs steeped in soy sauce, perfect as a snack or meal accompaniment.

Instructions

  1. Peel and rinse boiled eggs.

  2. Boil soy sauce in a small pot, then remove from heat.

  3. Add peeled eggs and gently roll to coat.

  4. Steep eggs in soy sauce for 1-2 minutes for light flavor, or 5+ minutes for stronger flavor.

  5. Serve.
