Easy Semi-Homemade Fruitcake

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 350 F.

  2. Grease and flour a 10-inch tube cake pan.

  3. Combine cake mix, pudding mix, apricot nectar, oil, and 1/4 cup apricot brandy in a bowl; beat until smooth for 2 minutes.

  4. Beat in eggs one at a time.

  5. Fold in chopped fruits and nuts.

  6. Pour batter into the prepared pan.

  7. Bake for 50-55 minutes, or until done.

  8. Cool in pan for 15 minutes, then transfer to a rack to cool completely.

  9. For best flavor, wrap and refrigerate for 24 hours before serving.

  10. Optionally, combine 2-3 tablespoons apricot brandy with 1 cup confectioners' sugar and drizzle over the fruitcake before serving.
