Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350 F. Start boiling water with 1 teaspoon salt in a saucepan; cook diced potatoes until tender, then drain.

  2. Place the cooked potatoes into a lightly buttered 2-quart casserole dish.

  3. In a separate saucepan, heat milk with cream cheese, stirring until melted. Stir in chives, salt, pepper, and dried onion.

  4. Pour the cheese mixture over the potatoes and bake for 30 minutes.
